If you ask us to describe Daxton in one word, we'd say joyful.

Daxton has the sweetest heart and a smile that can light up a room. He is incredibly affectionate and loves giving hugs to the people he loves most. While he experiences the world differently, his curiosity, determination, and unique personality make him truly one of a kind.

One of Daxton's greatest loves is being outdoors. Whether he's exploring the backyard, swinging at the park, swimming in the pool, or riding horses, he's happiest with the sun on his face and room to move. He also loves going for car rides with the windows rolled down, taking in every sight, sound, and breeze along the way.

Daxton has an extraordinary fascination with letters. His hyperlexia gives him an incredible ability to recognize and understand written words, and one of his favorite activities is writing letters in many different fonts and styles. Watching him recreate different lettering is both amazing and inspiring. It’s one of the many ways he shares his unique gifts with the world.

Like many little boys, Daxton has his favorite foods. Dino nuggets are always a hit, and he loves just about every kind of fruit you can imagine. Coloring, swinging, swimming, and horseback riding are some of his favorite ways to spend the day, and each one brings out his adventurous spirit.

More than anything, Daxton loves his family. His siblings are some of his biggest champions, and he shares an especially close bond with his big sister, Taryn. Whether she's helping him, playing with him, or simply sitting beside him, the love between them is something truly special. And of course, no day is complete without spending time with his dogs, who are always close by and part of his adventures.

Daxton teaches us every day that joy can be found in the simplest moments: a windy car ride, a favorite swing, a page full of letters, an ice cold popsicle, or the unconditional love of family. He sees the world through a different lens, and we are better because we get to see it alongside him
